Rob Hoitt is a Sr. Professional Development Consultant with a Fortune 500 corporation specializing in federal services. A true "accidental trainer," Rob came into learning and development after a decade working in the television broadcast industry, having worked at independent and network television stations. Through this rich experience, Rob has spent nearly 20 years in the learning and development industry specializing in leadership development and technical training. In addition to becoming one of the first people to attain the Associate Professional of Talent Development, and one of the first people to take and pass the new Certified Professional in Talent Development credentials, Rob graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona in 2021. Rob also holds a Certificate in Instructional Design and Delivery from American Military University, and is a Certified Facilitator from Development Dimensions International.
When he is not working with developing talent, he volunteers as the President of the West Virginia Chapter of ATD, and has spent the last 42 years affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. Having earned the Eagle Scout award in 1987, Rob stayed with the organization after becoming an adult and for the last decade has served with the BSA's Venturing program, which teaches valuable life skills to the young men and women who will be the leaders of tomorrow. Rob's Scouting recognitions include the Venturing Leadership Award, the District Award of Merit, and the International Scouters Award. In 2016, Rob was awarded the Call To Service Award from President Barack Obama in honor of his lifetime of volunteer service. Despite this, what he'll tell you he's most proud of is his son Eugene, who earned his Eagle Scout Award in 2013, and is currently working on a degree in education himself.
