The L&D Competency that continues to get the least attention is Needs Assessment. What little recent literature exists is contradictory or anecdotal. Participants will learn a practical, proven approach for the 3 occasions to conduct a Learning Needs Assessment and will receive job aids to ensure that their assessments are efficient and effective.

Conduct an effective needs assessment whenever a request for a learning program is requested (a reactive approach).
Conduct a forward-looking needs assessment to determine the future learning needs of your organization (a proactive approach).
Conduct a needs assessment of your existing learning curriculum to determine if the need still exists (an evaluative approach).
