Although they save money and provide 24/7 access, e-learning programs don’t have a universally excellent reputation. Even people who appreciate the advantages would probably prefer a caring and astute mentor who could help them learn and practice new skills. How people feel about themselves, their performance, and their experience in an e-learning program has a great influence on completion and outcomes. But what if e-learning could be more caring—asking learners how they’re feeling as they progress and responding to those feelings? Would developing empathetic e-learning be too difficult and time-consuming to consider? This session will demonstrate multiple practical (and cool) methods to create empathetic e-learning experiences that produce superior results.
Learning Objectives:
Gain practical techniques for applying the components of active empathy in your e-learning projects.
Learn criteria for selecting e-learning tools and off-the-shelf courseware.
